Why I’m a Freelancer

I’m an introvert. I get nervous when I’m around lots of people I don’t know. I enjoy wearing comfortable clothes rather than dressing up. I think that’s why I’m never fond of the corporate setting. I’m not tech-savvy but I enjoy researching and learning something new.

These could be good reasons on why I’m a home-based virtual assistant but they’re not my main reason. These three boys are…

I’m a wife and a mother of 2 wonderful boys, Quest (7 yrs old) and Valor (3 yrs old). My husband, Elijah, is a home-based graphic artist. We’ve been working from home for almost a year now and it’s the best decision we’ve made.

At first, I was worried that I won’t be able to concentrate with work but thank God for giving me clients who understand my family situation and who aren’t strict with me as long as I get the job done.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t regret working in an office setting. It taught me how to work as a professional, how to go the extra mile in every task and how to get along with other people. I’m good at my freelance work because of my experiences in the corporate world.

But I’m more fulfilled now as a freelancer and I’m doing this for the long haul.
